This recipe is outstanding and I have tried a LOT of recipes to try and get my three boys onto homemade instead of buying Hawiaiin or Brioche with all the preservatives … Question: the bread itself is just… bland? I but butter and salt on top when warm to soften the tops a bit (again, working on converting my boys!) Any ideas?

Please imagine my shock and horror when my LO came home saying they made “evaporating Jesus rolls” at his church kids club. After many clarifying questions with his Sunday school teacher I discovered that he made these. They’re a regular request now, not just at Easter.

It was the first time making the casserole it turned out excellent following the recipe. The only things I didn’t have was the Mexican cheese or the coconut oil or so I used melted 1/4 cup butter and finely shredded 3 cheddar cheese mix. Needless to say it is awesome.
